Wheel of Fortune is an American television game show founded by Merv Griffin that debuted in 1975 and was followed by a syndicated version in 1983. The syndicated version has been translated into several video games spanning multiple technology generations since 1986. The majority of versions released in the twentieth century were published by GameTek, which declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 1998.
