Joust is an action game that was produced by Williams Electronics and made available in arcades in the year 1982. Joust was not the first two-player cooperative video game; nonetheless, the popularity of the game and the polish with which it was implemented popularized the concept. The first player rides an ostrich, while the second player pilots a stork.
